HBC Triathlon & Multisport Club

A much-loved Hibiscus Coast club's welcome, finally put into words: real session detail, an honest beginner's guide, and a clear path from curious newcomer to member.

The client

Hibiscus Coast Triathlon & Multisport Club is a volunteer-run club north of Auckland, going strong since 1993. Swim, ride, run, and the coffee afterwards. The community was already brilliant. The job was to make the website reflect it as warmly as the club does in person.

The opportunity

The club came to its rebuild with three decades of local knowledge, a welcoming crew, and a full calendar of sessions. All the raw material was there. What it needed was content that carried it: the specifics newcomers ask about, and the detail that turns a curious visitor into a Saturday regular. That was the gap worth filling, and a genuinely fun one, because the story was already good.

What we wrote

We built the content around specifics. The home page leads with real session hooks a newcomer can act on: Saturday ocean swim, Big Manly Beach, 8am. Membership is laid out as clear tiers with what each one includes. The Beginner's Corner became a genuinely useful page: a minute-by-minute walkthrough of what a first Saturday morning actually looks like, and warm, honest answers to the questions that hold beginners back, like whether you need to be fit already, whether you need a fancy bike, and what to do if you can't swim in the ocean yet. We also added a free "come and try" step for people who are curious but not quite ready to join.

Why it works

The content is specific, local, and written from how the club actually runs. That is exactly what a nervous first-timer needs to read, and exactly what search engines and AI answers now reward. Nothing was invented. Every session time, price, and detail came straight from the club.

What it looks like from the club's side

A website that says what the club is, answers the questions newcomers actually ask, and gives a casual visitor a reason to turn up on Saturday, all in the club's own warm voice.
